Community invited to iNight at Trine

March 19, 2024

Trine University will host its 55th annual iNight (International Night) celebration, themed “Around the World in a Night,” from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in the MTI Center.

The event, sponsored by the Steuben County Community Foundation, TCL Global, Carnegie International Students Institute and Gurukul Overseas, is free and open to the public.

iNight enables students, faculty and staff from other nations to share their cultures with the Trine campus and local community. The event also provides an opportunity for all to experience and celebrate Trine’s growing international population and embrace its members as part of the community.

The first 500 to attend will receive free T-shirts. Prizes will be offered at activities throughout the evening.

Free food will include dishes from some of the nations represented at Trine.

Everyone who attends can take a passport book on their way in and, as they visit areas representing different countries, stamp their passport book with a stamp tied to that country.

The evening will feature African drums with Fey Fey. He will allow people to play the drums and teach the proper way to play.

Other activities will include bingo for the first hour in Club Z, a STEM project and painting different international flags.
